Gretchen creates the perfect space.
I have been taking Gretchen’s classes for the better part of a year now. She is a brilliant teacher who inspires you to move your body and work your muscles in every plane. The space she creates with her voice, music and many routines makes exercise a joy – so different from a typical, mundane gym workout. Nia with Gretchen is always the best part of my day – my only regret is that I can’t take her classes more often. – Michael D.
A Truly Blissful and Joyous Teacher and Class
Gretchen has such a joyful and warm presence and infuses her classes with delight. She provides the most beautiful imagery so that when I am dancing I am connected not only to my movement but to a creative part of myself. I cannot help but smile from the beginning to the end of Gretchen’s Nia classes. Her classes are for all levels and I always sweat. I feel invigorated and energized after each class. Gretchen is a skilled and loving teacher, a beautiful dancer, and she knows how to put together a rocking play list of music! Blissful Fitness is a most appropriate name

Great Supplement to My Usual Workout
As someone who definitely NOT a dancer (zero dance experience), I was a little intimidated to take my first class. However I found Gretchen’s class to be very relaxed and I was able to work at my own level while enjoying myself. And although I felt at times uncoordinated, the payoff was that I felt terrific for the rest of the day. – Scott M
Low pressure, easy to follow, small classes & FUN!
This was my first Nia experience (actually first time doing anything like this) and I found it really fun and easy to follow while still getting an invigorating workout. Gretchen is very positive and approachable and it’s evident that she has genuine enthusiasm for dance and teaching. The classes have enough variation each time to make it interesting. This would be the perfect environment for someone new to group dance/fitness classes or someone looking to get an energetic start to their weekend morning! – Diane T
Cure a hangover with dance!
Gretchen’s Nia class inspires me to cultivate grace & free my body from it’s tightness & regimented movement. This put me outside my comfort zone for .2 seconds, but her instruction has you smiling, sweating & moving all your limbs until you completely forget about comfort zones! – Julianne J.
Plus, it’s the easiest one-hour way to cure a hangover, so you can have your weekend cake & eat it too.
A fun and worthy work out!
This class is great! I love to dance but am admittedly uncoordinated, so i was thrilled to find that in this class being uncoordinated didn’t matter a bit! It’s like the saying “if you get all tangled up.. just tango on!” There is enough leeway to improvise that you can have fun and still work up a sweat (more than i expected on both accounts!)
Gretchen is a great instructor; encouraging, helpful, talented, cheerful, and fun!
The space and music is amazing too, I truly recommend this class! – Connie S.
Amazing Experience
I thought I didn’t like Nia until I experienced Gretchen’s class. Her energy, enthusiasm and approach to the practice leave me feeling uplifted, balanced and ready to conquer my day. Plus, its a great workout, the space is perfect and her rates are some of the best in town! – Julie M.
Fun Effortless Exercise
Within one hour I had stretched muscles and wiggled joints I didn’t know I had. All done to music that just makes you want to move. In the ‘cool down’ Gretchen leads us through a thoughtful relaxation routine. – Mary H.
Great introduction to Nia!
Gretchen introduced me to Nia and immediately I loved it! She brings a lot of variety to her instruction and you can tell she loves teaching it. It’s a perfect class for all Nia levels and she doesn’t push you to do what ISN’T comfortable for your body. There is room for improvisation as well as a simple set of steps to do for a great workout. I highly recommend Gretchen’s class. The dance studio is also very spacious with nice mirrors and plenty of parking. – Stacy L.
